Within (mes) limit(e)s est une reconstitution d’une œuvre réalisée à la suite à une résidence de création au Parc national Kouchibouguac. Lors d'un séjour de 10 jours, j'ai capturé une grande quantité d'images photographiques sur diverses pellicules (35 mm, 120 mm et 4x5), ainsi que des enregistrements vidéo et sonores - et quelques témoignages écrits des autres artistes en résidence.

Ce projet me permet d'exposer/valider mon dialogue interne en convergence avec d’autres réalités subjectives, et de montrer des idées relatives à divers dialogues intrapersonnels (les conversations que nous avons avec nous-mêmes). En invitant le spectateur à participer en partageant une pensée récurrente ou ruminante, ou une conversation privée, un mantra, une idée ou un secret, ce projet incite à réfléchir à la façon dont une personne communique avec iel-même et les effets que cela peut avoir sur ses réalités subjectives.

L’œuvre initiale à été présentée dans l’exposition Wayfinding: une exposition réunissant dix artistes, de disciplines et de pratiques variées, toustes habitant ce territoire qui était le résultat de la Résidence de création interculturelle 2021, un partenariat entre ArtsLink NB, l'AAAPNB et Mawi'Art.

Within (mes) limit(e)s is a re-construction of work stemming from the 2021 Cross Cultural Creative Residency (Kouchibouguac National Park). During a 10 day stay, I captured a large quantity of photographic images on various film (35mm, 120mm and 4x5), as well as video and sound recordings - and some written testimonials from the other residency artists.

This project allows me to expose/validate my own internal dialogue vis-à-vis the convergence of subjective realities and shared ideas around intrapersonal dialogues (the conversations we have with ourselves). By inviting the viewer to participate by sharing a recurring or ruminating thought, or a private conversation, mantra, idea or secret it invites them to reflect on how they communicate with themselves and the effects it may have on their subjective realities.

The first iteration of the work was initially presented as Within (ses) limit(e)s in Wayfinding - an exhibition that brought together ten artists, of varied disciplines and diverse practices, all based in so-called New Brunswick, a result of the third instalment of the CCCR a partnership between ArtsLink NB, l’AAAPNB, and Mawi’Art
